DOD Needs Solutions for the Proliferation of Autonomous Vehicles, Defense Official Says

Contested Logistics: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Department of Defense website — While there hasn't been a direct assault on a U.S. military base yet, autonomous systems and contested logistics remain a threat and something the Defense Department is seeking solutions for. In a modern world where technological growth is not exclusive to the U.S. and often times leveraged in pervasive ways, logistical operations are also on the adversarial list of areas to disrupt, destroy or defeat.

DLA Land and Maritime leaders gather to discuss FY25 strategies, priorities

COLUMBUS, Ohio — About 30 leaders from Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime gathered at the Byus Community Center on Defense Supply Center Columbus Aug. 6, to discuss plans and priorities ahead of a new operating plan for fiscal year 2025.

The combined 405th Army Field Support Brigade team made up of Soldiers and Army civilians from Army Field Support Battalion-Africa from Livorno, Italy, and contractors from the Coleman Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 worksite in Mannheim, Germany, as well as West Virginia Army National Guard Soldiers from the 1st Squadron, 150th Cavalry Regiment, pose for a photo before conducting a safety briefing May 2 at an APS-2 Equipment Configuration and Hand-off Area at the Libava Training Area in Libava, Czechia, at the start of DEFENDER 24.
