Parents, kids enjoy day of fun, fitness, education at DLA headquarters

McNamara Headquarters Complex employees recently shared with their children what they do on the job and the amenities their place of business offers during National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, April 27.

Fun at work: employees’ children visit NSA Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — More than 440 children accompanied their parents for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day April 27 at NSA Philadelphia. about how their parents contribute to the missions of DLA Troop Support and NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support.

DLA’s future workforce visits DSCR for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Richmond, Va — More than 200 children visited Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia with their parents or grandparents April 27 as part of the 2017 Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

DSCC celebrates ‘Take our daughters and sons to work day’

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Supply Center Columbus hosted more than 100 children of federal defense workers April 27 during its annual “Take our daughters and sons to work day” event.

U.S. Air Force Maj. Robert Riggs, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command air mobility liaison officer, assists in loading cargo aboard a C-17 aircraft at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. As MARSOC’s AMLO, Riggs provides a critical link of communication between the airlift and ground forces in the area of operations. He facilitated the mission from planning and coordination through hands-on facilitation by piloting the aircraft as it deployed and re-deployed two MARSOC units.

Denim Day at DSCC

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DSCC workforce is Going the Distance on Denim Day to raise awareness against Sexual Assault. DLA is helping to spread the word across the DLA enterprise about the SAPR program and resources, but most important, participation in this month's events such as Denim Day and Teal Tuesdays show support for survivors during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

Automated phone line helps employees; customers reach DLA offices at DSCR

Richmond, Va — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, Virginia, has updated the DLA information phone line for Defense Supply Center Richmond. The automated number, 804-279-3861, can be used by employees, customers and the public to assist and connect them to various DLA Installation Support offices, as well as other DLA organizations and offices on post.
