Two Mather Soil Vapor Extraction units achieve cleanup goals

Richmond, Virginia — The DLA Aviation Forging and Casting Assistance Team looks for ways to save time and money on contracts by improving processes and solving procurement problems. The AFCAT educates employees on casting and forging processes by taking them to visit two commercial casting and forging companies that make parts for DLA.

Several Police Presence in a Box kits were transferred to Iraqi security forces July 3. The kits are the first of 100 that DLA Troop Support procured for Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve and will be transferred to ISF this summer. The kits include: a tent with a working space, furniture, lighting, water tanks, laptops, phones, GPS, weapons storage and checkpoint equipment.

DLA-procured police-presence kits delivered to Iraqi security forces

PHILADELPHIA — On the verge of victory in Mosul, Iraqi security forces received police equipment that they’ll use to protect their citizens. The first Police Presence in a Box kits were transferred to Iraqi security forces July 3 during a ceremony in Baghdad.

AFRL developing rapidly-deployable, independent energy sources for remote military sites

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base website — Providing power to remote military installations is a challenge under the best of circumstances, but if power is suddenly cut off, the situation can become critical.

During a windshield tour of the installation, Williams stops to view DLA Distribution’s expeditionary capability, which deploys for contingency operations, humanitarian missions and other military exercises via movable structures and communications equipment operated by a team trained to perform storage and distribution in any environment.

Skubic was at the Bremerton, Wash. facility to address the staff and recognize them for their outstanding contributions to Warfighter support.
