Gerald Raia, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Procurement Process Support Director, explains the importance of federal contracts to 185 acquisition professionals from more than a dozen federal agencies at the Mid-Atlantic Acquisition Council Training Symposium. Raia, who spent more than four years serving in a combat zone, said that strong acquisition practices are critical to an agency’s mission accomplishment.

Strength in numbers: acquisition professionals gather for interagency meeting

PHILADELPHIA — Local acquisition professionals from more than a dozen federal agencies, including Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, attended the Mid-Atlantic Acquisition Council Training Symposium in Philadelphia Nov. 30.

Members of the DLA Land and Maritime Joint Reserve Team assemble at the Joint Forces Operational Summit Dec. 2 at Defense Supply Center Columbus. The annual event highlights achievements from the previous year while setting new goals for the future of the reserve forces.

Joint Reserve Force reaffirms commitment to DLA at annual summit

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DLA Land and Maritime’s Joint Reserve Team hosted their annual summit for members of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps to emphasize their supply and logistics support capabilities.

386th AMU keeps supplies moving downrange

Supplier Operations director assumes role of acting deputy commander

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Gabby Earhardt assumed the role of Defense Logistics Agency Energy acting deputy commander following the departure of former DLA Energy Deputy Commander George Atwood Nov. 28.

Distribution’s Davis promoted to colonel

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — In front of family and friends, DLA Distribution’s Air Force Lt Col Mike Davis was promoted to the rank of Colonel during a ceremony Dec. 2.
