Land and Maritime recognizes successful CFC campaign

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DLA Land and Maritime recently closed out its 2016 Combined Federal Campaign on a positive note with a meeting of the organization’s key workers. Their efforts helped the Central Ohio West Virginia campaign raise more than $958,000 in contributions.

The Defense Logistics Agency selects Air Force Master Sgt. Gabriela Camarillo as its Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter for the 1st quarter of 2017 for her professional and personal contributions to the agency. She oversaw dollar threshold requirements by validating purchases worth $1.5 million, while saving $250,000 in excess purchases from when she started at the DLA Aviation, Richmond, Virginia, in June 2016. She also helped raise more than $100,000 for local charities during the Combined Federal Campaign this year by coordinating four fundraisers.

Richmond, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency selects Air Force Master Sgt. Gabriela Camarillo as its Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter for the 1st quarter of 2017.

U.S. Navy Sailors with Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 135 performed maintenance on E/A-18G Growlers at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, to support exercise Cope North, which is scheduled for Feb. 8 – March 8, 2017. TCTO sends Airmen into KC-135R “hellhole”

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Grissom Air Reserve Base website — No maintainer enjoys being required to climb into the small compartment, often called the “hellhole,” in the tail of a KC-135R Stratotanker, even if it just for a short time.

A DLA Distribution Albany, Georgia forklift is buried under the wreckage of a rail head ramp. The entire base received major damage from the category five hurricane that touched down on Jan. 22.
