Dealing effectively with pressure: DLA initiates resiliency training through LMS

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — The Defense Logistics Agency defines resiliency as dealing effectively with pressure, ambiguous and emerging conditions, and multiple tasks; remains optimistic and persistent, even under adversity or uncertainty. Simplified, resiliency is the ability to function really well in the face of adversity.

Top enlisted Marine credits DLA for Corps’ success on frontlines

PHILADELPHIA — From meals-ready-to-eat to the boots they wear, the support Defense Logistics Agency provides makes Marines successful on the battlefield, the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps said during a visit to DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia Feb. 17.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Air Force Master Sgt. Shanon Johnson is named DLA senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter, 1st Quarter 2016. Johnson earned this recognition in part through her role as an assistant B-1 weapon system program manager, serving an active role on the Air Force Supply Chain Working Group working diligently to ensure mission effectiveness, and for her volunteerism and leadership within the community with children, family, and wounded warriors.

Former DLA Distribution commander announced as incoming commander to 8th TSC

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Former Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander Army Maj. Gen. Susan Davidson has been announced as the incoming commanding general, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

DLA Aviation Internal Review Office maintains accountability of internal and external audit processes

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Command Support Directorate's Internal Review Office manages internal and external controls to ensure all guidelines and procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with DLA Aviation commander’s January 2016 Memorandum for External/Internal Audit Procedures.

Dignity kits and other items provided through DLA are assembled and packaged for delivery to refugees and internally displaced persons in the Middle East.

DLA personnel join counterparts to help save lives of civilians fleeing war, atrocities in Middle East

Defense Logistics Agency personnel recently helped save numerous civilian lives by delivering millions of critical non-food items to refugees and migrants in the Middle East before the arrival of winter, in collaboration with other federal agencies.

United States Air Force Brig. Gen. Walter Lindsley, Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex commander, thanked Defense Logistics Agency tenants co-located with the WR-ALC at Robins Air Force Base for their contributions that helped the WR-ALC win the 2015 Maintenance Effectiveness Award.

Air Logistics Complex commander thanks DLA for contributions to Air Force award

“The Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex wouldn't have been successful without your teamwork and your willingness to fight by our sides.” Those are sentiments expressed by United States Air Force Brig. Gen. Walter Lindsley, WR-ALC commander, to all Defense Logistics Agency tenants co-located with the WR-ALC at Robins Air Force Base. The WR-ALC was named Category 4 Depot winner of the Air Force Materiel Command’s 2015 Maintenance Effectiveness Award.
