McNamara Headquarters Complex celebrates Air Force’s 68th birthday

From the Wright brothers’ first 120-foot glide in the first powered airplane at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, to Neil Armstrong’s monumental first steps on the moon, a lot can change in 68 years, an Air Force deputy chief information officer said Sept. 10 during the service’s birthday celebration at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

Army Col. Fredric E. Johnson: the consummate Army petroleum professional

Retired Army Col. Fredric Johnson, who served as a U.S. Army Quartermaster officer and petroleum specialist for more than three decades, passed away Aug. 8. His final assignment before retirement in 1972 was as acting commander of the Defense Fuel Supply Center, Cameron Station, Virginia, the predecessor of Defense Logistics Agency Energy.

Defense Logistics Agency supports Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2015

Led by Defense Logistics Agency Pacific Korea, DLA Distribution and other DLA organizations in the pacific theater provided simulated sustainment and logistics services to United States and Republic of Korea forces within the Korean Theater of Operations in support of Ulchi Freedom Guardian from Aug. 17 to 29, 2015. UFG is a computer-based command post exercise that triggers ROK-US Forces to respond to destabilizing events and work through challenges in mission command in defense of the ROK.

Norfolk’s Stubblefield wins Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Civilian of the Year

Kareneshia Stubblefield, distribution process worker at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Civilian of the Year for her work in the distribution center’s Intermodal Hub.

Whether they know or not, 11 very dependent little people are the makings of Defense Logistics Agency Energy Utility Services’ future workforce. Since September 2014, there have been 11 babies, and counting; the first baby was born in September and the last two were born in August.
