Ogden material supply technician named DLA Aviation’s November Employee of the Month

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s November Employee of the Month (EOM) is Gregory LaRue. He serves as a material support technician for the Customer Operations Directorate of DLA Aviation at Ogden, Utah. DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day presented the award to LaRue during a ceremony via video teleconference Jan. 6.

Cindy Hunt is a contract specialist in Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Engines and Airframes Division. She has been a buyer for tie down adjusters since 2007. “The tie down adjuster has been a high visibility item for our division as it is a high demand item for troops around the world,” said Hunt.

DLA Aviation holds Resiliency Training: expands employees' skills in dealing with life pressures

A long-established initiative by the military services, resiliency training was offered for the first time at Defense Logistics Agency to Aviation employees at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, Dec. 16. This event introduced the resiliency concept and the resiliency tools available, including mental, physical, social, and spiritual training.

DLA employee, Army Reserve pilot flies newest Army Chinook

Phillip Brashear, who is a weapons systems program manager for Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, and an Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 and pilot in the U.S. Army Reserves, graduated from the two-month CH-47F Aviator Qualifications/Instructor Pilot (Transition) Course at Fort Rucker, Alabama, Dec. 15, 2015.

DLA Aviation employee receives DAW Individual Achievement Award

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee Marsha Barron received the 2015 Defense Acquisition Workforce Individual Achievement Award in the category of Production, Quality, and Manufacturing Dec. 10 at the Pentagon’s Hall of Heroes in Arlington, Virginia. Barron is a technical quality supervisor for Supplier Operations Directorate at DLA Aviation in Richmond, Virginia.
