Distribution HQ’s Wright wins Global Distribution Excellence: Administrative Support Performance of the Year Award

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Melissa Wright, command support specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution headquarters in New Cumberland, Pa., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Administrative Support Performance of the Year award for her administrative guidance and assistance to DLA Distribution headquarters staff, commanders, deputies and administrative personnel throughout DLA Distribution’s network of 24 distribution centers and detachments.

San Diego distribution center welcomes new commander

SAN DIEGO, California — United States Navy Capt. John Soracco assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, Calif., on July 31 with a traditional Navy ceremony officiated by Naval Supply Systems Command Global Logistics Support vice commander William E. Bickert, Jr. Soracco’s mother, Sara, assisted in pinning the Command Ashore Insignia on her sons uniform.

Morgart recognized for achievements as commander of San Diego distribution center, set to retire after 29 years of service

SAN DIEGO, California — Navy Supply Corps Capt. Andrew S. Morgart has been awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for his achievements while serving as commander, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, Calif. The award was one of many recognitions Morgart received in honor of his 29 years of service to the United States Navy.
