Educator, therapist explains hidden disabilities

Many disabilities are not obvious to others but are just as life-changing, according to a psychologist, pastor and former professor in a presentation to DLA leaders and employees recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 20 people are physically victimized by an intimate partner in the United States every minute—more than 10 million women and men each year.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month a call to prevent, assist

One in four women and one in seven men have been victims of severe physical violence by an intimate partner, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Every October, National Domestic Awareness Month is observed to prevent domestic abuse and intimate-partner violence.

The results of the survey show DLA employees are overall more satisfied with their agency than are their counterparts at many other agencies.

DLA results on federal survey show favorable employee opinions of agency

Defense Logistics Agency employees view their organization more favorably than employees of many other Defense Department or federal government agencies, according to survey results released this month.

FY2016 DLA Distribution Training Coordinators On-Site Academy

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution’s Organizational Management Division together with the Material Logistics Training Division and Forward Presence Training Team presented a unique opportunity for 32 training coordinators from a majority of the 24 distribution centers to come together for an on-site academy which commenced on March 8 for three days.
