RIMPAC Ships Set to Receive Fresh Supplies

These Navy vessels will provide logistical support with aviation fuel, diesel ship fuel and fresh food.

Pennsylvania Air Guard Enhances Ops at Iron Keystone Exercise

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard Bureau news website — Airmen assigned to the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s three wings participated in Exercise Iron Keystone 2024 with more than 90 from the 193rd Special Operations Wing taking part at a simulated forward operating base in Fort Drum, NY. Iron Keystone is a proof-of-concept exercise that brings together all three Pennsylvania based air wings geographically separated. This year’s exercise aimed to increase tactical proficiency, develop a baseline knowledge in various operations and combine capabilities and resources across three major commands to maximize operational success on today's battlefield.

Kentucky Guard Engineers Support Djibouti Armed Forces

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard Bureau news website — Engineers from the Kentucky Army National Guard welcomed their counterparts from the Djibouti Armed Forces during the unit’s annual training event at Camp Dodge, Iowa. The 206th Engineer Battalion, part of the 149th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, showcased how they set up a battalion-sized command post and conduct a field training exercise. The DAF officers, with aspirations to form their own engineer battalion, observed the Kentucky engineers while gaining insights on command and control, logistics, personnel accountability, operations and communication.

First Military Fixed-Wing Aircraft Lands on Peleliu Recertified Airstrip

For the first time since its recertification in June, a military fixed-wing aircraft has touched down on the historic Peleliu airstrip, marking a significant and triumphant return to this iconic World War II site, on June 22, 2024. This landmark event was made possible by the tireless efforts of the Marine Corps Engineer Detachment Palau (MCED-P) 24.1, comprised of engineers from the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group.

56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team Getting Upgraded Strykers

The brigade, headquartered at Biddle Air National Guard Base in Horsham and with units across the state, is turning in 322 old Stryker's and receiving 316 upgraded vehicles.
