JTF-PO delivers humanitarian aid to Matthew's victims

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Joint Task Force-Bravo website — Airmen from the 621st Contingency Response Wing and interagency partners arrived at Port-au-Prince International Airport, Haiti, Oct. 6, in support of a larger Department of Defense effort to support the government of Haiti’s request for assistance after Hurricane Matthew made landfall Oct. 4.

U.S. Marines with the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Southern Command board a C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Oct. 8, 2016, for a deployment to Port-au-Prince, Haiti where they will augment approximately 150 other Soldiers, Airmen and Marines from Joint Task Force-Bravo and SPMAGTF-SC who deployed earlier this week with two CH-53E Super Stallion, three CH-47 Chinook, and two UH-60L and two HH-60L Black Hawk helicopters to provide heavy and medium lift to support the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission. While in Haiti, SPMAGTF-SC and JTF-Bravo personnel are part of Joint Task Force Matthew, a temporary command established by SOUTHCOM in Port-au-Prince, under the command of U.S. Navy Rear Adm. SPMAGTF-SC, JTF-Bravo disaster relief in Haiti enabled by logistics, ‘Rapid Global Mobility’

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Joint Task Force-Bravo website — U.S. Air Force heavy airlift was called upon to support approximately 200 Soldiers, Airmen and Marines from Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Southern Command and Joint Task Force-Bravo who deployed this week to provide heavy and medium lift to support the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission to alleviate human suffering and bolster Haitian disaster response capabilities.

T-38 maintenance unit finds efficiencies with mobile shelving

The 575th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Randolph AFB, Texas, faced such a problem, but proactively sought a solution that would impact its aircraft maintenance production line in a positive way.

DoD Assistance Team Arrives in Haiti for Post-Hurricane Support

39th LRS deployment and distribution flight provide total package

66th Civil Engineering Division seeks reduced energy and water consumption

309th EMXG receives first annual DOD VPP award

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Hill Air Force Base website — The Ogden Air Logistics Complex’s 309th Electronics Maintenance Group has come away with the first-ever 2016 Department of Defense Voluntary Protection Program Group Achievement Award.

Jermaine Sutton, from Philadelphia, and former Marine, uses an AC DC Precision Measurement Calibrator, to test the electrical output of a device. “I see the impact of the lab’s work every day,” Sutton said, “when you go to Production Plant Barstow and see them using a piece of equipment that you just tested. If you’re off with your tests then they’ll be off with their work,” he said.
