Contingency planner rewarded for role in joint task force

HATTIESBURG, Mississippi — Andre Hinson’s work in support of Joint Task Force Port Opening’s exercise Turbo Distribution 16-1, earned him a coin from the joint task force commander at Camp Shelby Oct. 29.

As part of National Preparedness Month, DLA Energy participated in a Federal Emergency Management Agency drill this month in Salt Lake City, Utah, demonstrating their ability to support delivery of ground fuel products via retail tank wagon to a local vendor tank truck.

National Preparedness Month: DLA Energy participates in FEMA readiness drills

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — September is National Preparedness Month, designed to raise awareness of being prepared for disasters. DLA Energy is doing just that as personnel participated in two FEMA drills this month, demonstrating their ability to support delivery of fuels.

DLA Energy supports Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercise

CAMP WALKER, South Korea — The Defense Logistics Agency Energy supported Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2015 before and during the cooperative South Korean exercise through training and fuel coordination.

Quartermaster soldiers set up a fuel station in Camp Pendleton, Calif., as part of Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise 2014. QLLEX is a joint forces exercise that 64 units at eight locations across the continental U.S. will deliver more than 3.25 million gallons of petroleum and produce 479,000 gallons of water, designed to challenge and develop the battalion's staff military decision making skills.
