Guard members respond to Midwest's historic flooding

ARLINGTON, Va. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — More than 340 National Guard members are responding to flooding affecting thousands throughout Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa and other Midwest states.

Fuel trucks and trailers are staged at the request of FEMA at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, which served as an incident support base during Hurricane Florence. Items were provided by DLA and overseen by DLA Energy and DLA Distribution personnel.

Guam National Guard Plays Role in Moving Supplies to Saipan

SAIPAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command website — Local and federal government agencies, along with joint service members, collaborated to provide temporary shelters Nov. 9 to Saipan-based residents whose homes were heavily impacted by Super Typhoon Yutu.

Sailors assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, load a high-mobility excavator from the 1224th Engineering Support Company, Guam Army National Guard, onto Navy Landing Craft, Utility (LCU) 1634 at the Reserve Craft Beach in Guam. DLA sends critical supplies to recovery teams, victims after Florence

First responders assessing damage wrought by Hurricane Florence and military officials resuming operations after days of installation closures have access to fuel, generators and other critical supplies pre-positioned at federal staging bases by the Defense Logistics Agency.
