DLA Distribution participates in Talisman Sabre 2023

Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023 kicked off July 22 and concluded Aug. 4. It was the 10th and largest iteration of the exercise to date, consisting of field training exercises incorporating force preparation activities, amphibious landings, ground force maneuvers and air combat and maritime operations.

Marine Corps-DLA Day focuses on customer relationships, process improvement

Defense Logistics Agency and Marine Corps leaders met May 1 at DLA’s Fort Belvoir, Virginia, headquarters to discuss strategic issues and ensure DLA support is aligned with customer priorities during Marine Corps-DLA Day. DLA senior leaders attended the annual event in person with representatives from several Marine Corps organizations and major subordinate commands attending mostly virtually.

Defense Supplier Conference returns to Columbus, Ohio

After a four-year hiatus, Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime and the National Defense Industry Association brought the DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Conference and Exhibition back to downtown Columbus, Ohio, April 6-7. More than 800 defense industry representatives packed a ballroom in the Greater Columbus Convention Center for first day speakers, including Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment Steven Morani, DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic, and DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry.

3D-printed impeller enhances readiness of Corps’ main battle tank

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps Systems Command website — Marine Corps Systems Command recently collaborated with fleet Marines and other organizations to review the successful performance of several 3D-printed impellers used on M1A1 Abrams tanks at Twentynine Palms, California. The Corps plans to use 3D-printed impellers when the original part wears or becomes inoperable and a new part cannot be received in a timely fashion.
