Law enforcement sacrifices remembered

TRACY, Calif. — The Defense Logistics Agency Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin on Chrisman Road hosted a ceremony Wednesday to mark Peace Officers Memorial Day. The DLA police force, led by Chief Khalid Ali and depot commander Col. Andre Harrell, invited members of the Tracy Police Department, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department and other law enforcement agencies to participate in the service.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Four military members assigned to DLA Distribution have been recognized as the DLA Distribution Military of the Quarter for second quarter, fiscal year 2018.

PHILADELPHIA — Victoria Czaia, DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles customer account specialist and culture improvement team member, was teaching English in China during the Sichuan earthquake of 2008, 10 years ago today. Czaia joined the Red Cross there to help those affected.

AF awards first energy savings performance contract of 2018 at Hill AFB

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force Civil Engineer Center website — Recently, the Defense Logistics Agency awarded a $42 million energy savings performance contract, to be executed and maintained by Energy Systems Group, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This represents the Air Force’s first such awarded contract of 2018.
