CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Jeremy M. Beckwith has been selected as deputy commander, DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas.

Donnie Thompson, chief of deployments and training, for DLA Distribution Headquarters has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence David Ennis DLA Distribution Community Service Award for 2016.

Installation active shooter exercise tests crisis response

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To test the installation’s emergency and crisis response capabilities, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, hosted an active shooter exercise June 8.

Stewart receives Defense Meritorious Service Medal for service to DLA

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Prior to departing DLA Distribution following almost one year with the organization, Army Master Sgt. Cynthia Stewart received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for her service from July 2016 to May 2017.

Service, visited DLA Distribution on June 12.

DLA’s Acquisition director visits Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Service, along with several procurement analysts from headquarters, visited DLA Distribution on June 12. His main purpose for the site visit was to review DLA Distribution’s contract oversight program, meet with the acquisition workforce, and have a tour of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania’s Eastern Distribution Center.

The Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Jacksonville, Florida, Continuing Government Activity team has received the 2016 Global Distribution Excellence: Andrew L. Leitzel Annual Contract Quality Assurance Program Commendable Service Award for outstanding contract oversight.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — In a ceremony held in the DLA Distribution Headquarters auditorium, senior leaders, military members and civilian staff celebrated the U.S. Army’s 242nd Birthday on June 14, 2017. Distribution’s chief of staff, Perry Knight spoke about the significance and history of the day.

DLA Distribution’s outgoing Future Operations deputy director Navy Supply Corps Cmdr. Steve Macdonald was honored with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his accomplishments from May 2014 to June 2017 on June 6.
