DLA buys cloth face masks to protect DOD employees against coronavirus

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency is proactively procuring cloth face masks to protect Defense Department employees against the coronavirus. The agency began working with American manufacturers to award contracts for reusable, non-surgical, cloth face masks in various styles soon after DOD released guidance requiring people to wear cloth masks on DOD property, installations and facilities in early April.

DLA Distribution RDT member expedites customers’ COVID-19 requirements

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Charlie Hughley is helping the RDT determine supply needs for ARNORTH medical units mobilizing to assist hard-hit communities. DLA Distribution San Diego providing mission essential support to national fight against COVID-19

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Employees with the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego are providing mission essential support to the ongoing national fight against COVID-19 by providing critical supplies to the USNS MERCY currently docked at the Port of Los Angeles. DLA Troop Support expedites disposable gloves to Korea, protects soldiers against coronavirus

PHILADEPHIA — As people around the world continue to curtail the spread of COVID-19, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support is helping protect soldiers in Korea with disposable gloves. In late March, the Clothing and Textiles organizational clothing and individual equipment team expedited an emergency order for 30,000 pairs of gloves for the 498th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion in Korea.

Troop Support provides essential supplies to floating hospitals

PHILADELPHIA — As the USNS Comfort and Mercy medical staffs care for patients on the East and West coasts, they are using supplies and equipment procured by the various Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support supply chains to perform their mission. The two Navy hospital ships, docked in New York City and Los Angeles, were deployed in March to relieve land-based hospitals overwhelmed by the COVID-19 epidemic.
