The Defense Logistics Agency kicked off the 2018 Combined Federal Campaign season Oct. 22 with a goal to raise $300,000 to support causes ranging from cancer research to homeless veterans.

Employees can now donate to 2018 Combined Federal Campaign

Employees at the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support are able to make charitable contributions through the Office of Personnel Management’s Combined Federal Campaign now through Jan. 11, 2019. The CFC, a 57-year and running campaign, is the world’s largest workplace giving campaign, garnering more than $8.2 billion for charitable organizations.

The Combined Federal Campaign launched its 2018 pledge portal Sept. 10 and it will remain open until Jan. 11. This year’s theme encourages all Federal employees to “Show Some Love” by making a pledge to one or more of the many worthy charities who rely on CFC donations throughout the year.

DLA Land and Maritime wraps up food drive, launches pledge campaign

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime and the Defense Supply Center Columbus recently showed community support through food drives and charitable giving. The DSCC workforce concluded a month-long food drive, collecting 9,143 pounds of goods that will go on to support more than 525,000 individuals in Central Ohio.

The Defense Logistics Agency was honored at a Pentagon ceremony Jan. 26, for exceeding its 2016 Combined Federal Campaign goal. DLA also won the award for Best Overall Communications Program for medium-sized organizations.
