Director of DLA Distribution Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Retires with 50 Years of Service

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — With 50 years of service to the federal government, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Director Ned LaViolette, Jr. retires Sept. 25. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, LaViolette’s career spans the globe, from Asia and Central America, to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

2019 a busy year for Hill’s 75th Logistics Readiness Squadron

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Hill Air Force Base website — The year is just halfway over and, according to Mark Dylla, the operations manager for the 75th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, the squadron has had its busiest year since 9/11.

621st CRW teams up with joint partners in 'Southeast Asia' for exercise

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center website — Nearly 1.6 million people are still trying to get their bearing after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake ravaged Southeast Asia. After a request for assistance from South Torbia, U.S. Transportation Command calls upon its premier response forces: 621st Contingency Response Wing, 689th Rapid Port Opening Element and the Defense Logistics Agency’s Rapid Deployment Team-Blue. This was the exercise scenario for Turbo Distribution 19-03, held July 18-24, 2019, at Contingency Operating Base Panther in North Vernon, Indiana.
