DLA Distribution commemorates Air Force’s 68th birthday

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To honor the United States Air Force’s 68th birthday, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution employees gathered to commemorate the service’s rich history on Sept. 18.

Jodi Marshall, management services specialist, and Linda Cover, supervisory supply technician, at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., have won the Commander’s Mission Impact award for third quarter, fiscal year 2015 for their work in establishing a computer lab at the Eastern Distribution Center.

Susquehanna duo wins Commander’s Mission Impact award

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Jodi Marshall, management services specialist, and Linda Cover, supervisory supply technician, at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., have won the Commander’s Mission Impact award for third quarter, fiscal year 2015, for their work in establishing a computer lab at the Eastern Distribution Center.

DLA Director visits DLA Distribution San Diego during west coast trip

SAN DIEGO, California — Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch visited DLA Distribution San Diego, Calif., facilities on September 9 during a weeklong trip to the region.

Ceremony honors patriots and POW/MIAs

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Sacrifices for freedom must never be forgotten. Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, employees gathered on the fourteenth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, in remembrance of those sacrifices, which came as a reminder that freedom is not free.

Timothy Scott Lukens, senior general supply specialist, has been named Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Distribution headquarters’ Lukens named Employee of the Quarter

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Timothy Scott Lukens, senior general supply specialist at DLA Distribution headquarters in New Cumberland, Pa., has been named Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Led by Defense Logistics Agency Pacific Korea, DLA Distribution and other DLA organizations in the pacific theater provided simulated sustainment and logistics services to United States and Republic of Korea forces within the Korean Theater of Operations in support of Ulchi Freedom Guardian from Aug. 17 to 29, 2015.

Defense Logistics Agency supports Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2015

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — Led by Defense Logistics Agency Pacific Korea, DLA Distribution and other DLA organizations in the pacific theater provided simulated sustainment and logistics services to United States and Republic of Korea forces within the Korean Theater of Operations in support of Ulchi Freedom Guardian from Aug. 17 to 29, 2015. UFG is a computer-based command post exercise that triggers ROK-US Forces to respond to destabilizing events and work through challenges in mission command in defense of the ROK.

NORFOLK, Virginia — Kareneshia Stubblefield, distribution process worker at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Civilian of the Year for her work in the distribution center’s Intermodal Hub.

Pearl Pearson, Jr., a packer assigned to the Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking Branch at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Oklahoma City, Okla., has been selected to receive the Outstanding DoD Employee with a Disability Award for 2015.
