Employees surpass annual food drive goal fourth year in a row

DLA Distribution Susquehanna commander makes first visit to Troop Support

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — The commander of nearby Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania made his first visit to DLA Troop Support Aug. 26.

DLA senior enlisted leader visits C&T uniform producers

VINELAND, New Jersey — DLA’s senior enlisted leader Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin lauded a long-time uniform manufacturer during his visit to three DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles vendors Aug. 19.

Air Force Master Sgt. Woodrow Ruff (left) and Army Staff Sgt. Brandon Miller (right) were selected July 27 as DLA Senior and Junior NCO of the Third Quarter, respectively. DLA Troop Support Chief of Staff Robert Ratner hailed Ruff and Miller as two of the organization’s “best and brightest.”

Two of Troop Support’s ‘best and brightest’ earn NCO of the quarter

PHILADELPHIA — Two DLA Troop Support service members are being recognized for their dedication and commitment to the agency’s mission by being named NCOs of the quarter.

Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton, DLA Troop Support commander, hands a pair of combat boots to an Air Force recruit receiving her initial clothing issue Aug. 6 at Lackland Air Force Base. Hamilton saw technology implemented by the Clothing and Textiles supply chain that helped cut the clothing issue time in half.

Troop Support commander sizes up recruits at Lackland AFB

LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas — The first pair of combat boots didn’t fit. So DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton walked to the stocked shelf and brought another pair to the Air Force recruit.

DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles has been working with Army officials and other stakeholders for more than a year planning the rollout of the new operational camouflage pattern Army combat uniform. Soldiers are authorized to wear the uniform, which became available at select military clothing sales stores July 1.

DLA provides ‘tip of the iceberg’ support for new Army camo pattern

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — The release of the Army combat uniform in the operational camouflage pattern July 1 is just the beginning of Defense Logistics Agency’s camouflage transition support to the Army, a DLA Troop Support leader said.

DLA Troop Support delivers during its first wildland fire season

PHILADAELPHIA — On the eve of the 2014 wildland fire season, warehouse shelves at the Northern California Interagency Support Cache were packed with goggles, hand tools and hoses. More than $7 million worth of materials were stocked as a buffer as DLA took over management of those items one month before the season started.
