DLA Distribution hosts Israeli Air Force

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Maj. Ben Yanovich, Israeli Air Force, visited Defense Logistics Agency Distribution on Jan. 12 to discuss DLA’s global logistics processes and how DLA Distribution supports foreign military sales customers.

Susquehanna’s Draughorne selected as Employee of the Quarter

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Nicholas Draughorne, distribution process worker for the Receiving Branch of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., was named Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Susquehanna installation announced as National Night Out Military Award winner

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — The National Association of Town Watch has named Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, the 2015 National Night Out Military Award winner. The installation also won the award in 2012.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To spread the word about Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna's quest for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Voluntary Protection Program star status, employees of Defense Logistics Agency activities in New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg were encouraged to show off their creativity by creating a poster promoting safety.

Susquehanna’s Emergency Supply Operations Center practice the Continuity of Operations Plan

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Members of the Continuity of Operations planners of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution gathered in the Emergency Supply Operations Center of Defense Distribution Susquehanna on Nov. 6 to test the center’s ability to receive high priority ESOC orders, and to successfully pick, pack and ship items to the customer, in an environment where Defense Standard System is not available.

CFC Agency Fair held on Susquehanna installation

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — In addition to donating to a favorite non-profit, the Combined Federal Campaign provides an opportunity for Federal employees to learn about other local charities and the services they provide. As it often happens, making a personal connection to a charity leads to a mutually benefiting, long-term relationship. To educate employees and make those connections, an agency fair was held at Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, Nov. 5.
