Susquehanna’s Vinette named Employee of the Quarter

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Rene Vinette, supervisory distribution facilities specialist in DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa.’s Special Commodities Division, has been named Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Ceremony honors patriots and POW/MIAs

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Sacrifices for freedom must never be forgotten. Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, employees gathered on the fourteenth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, in remembrance of those sacrifices, which came as a reminder that freedom is not free.

DLA Senior Enlisted Leader visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Defense Logistics Agency Senior Enlisted Leader Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin made his inaugural visit to DLA Distribution on Aug. 28 to learn how the organization performs storage and distribution functions for the military services and other key customers.

Susquehanna’s Wright retires from Navy service

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — As an 18-year-old Ohio native, David M. Wright decided to become a nuclear electrician and serve on submarines, standing the watch in the silent service. Nearly 28 years later, on Aug. 27, Navy Supply Corps Lt. Cmdr. Wright stood in front of family and coworkers to be honored for his service and to be recognized by Army Col Corey A. New, the DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., commander.

Army’s 6th Medical Logistics Management Center visit DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To discuss synchronizing medical logistics through planning, supply chain integration, and requirements development, the Army’s 6th Medical Logistics Management Center visited Defense Logistics Agency Distribution on Aug. 28.

National Security Advisor visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Darrell Owens, National Security Advisor and Military Legislative Assistant for Sen. Pat Toomey, United States Senator for Pennsylvania, visited DLA Distribution Aug. 20 to learn about how the organization manages its worldwide military customers while also supporting the local Central Pa. economy.

Susquehanna installation wins CINC award

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On July 6, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna was selected as one of five military bases to be awarded the Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence, the highest award for excellence among installations.
