PHILADELPHIA — A descendant of the Micmac and Mohawk tribes encouraged the Naval Support Activity Philadelphia workforce to look past people’s external differences and to see each other as one people during the National American Indian Heritage Month program Nov. 14.

Disabled Americans’ support to warfighters recognized at National Disability Awareness Month Expo

PHILADELPHIA — More than 500 Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees visited the National Disability Awareness Month Expo and Ability One Day event Oct. 25 to celebrate this year’s national theme: “Inclusion Drives Innovation.”

He said the top five hazards on the installation are severe winter weather, acts of terrorism, off-base hazmat accidents, active shooters and fires.

Nothing eclipses DLA’s nationwide support

The total solar eclipse will draw eyes and darken skies as it travels across the United States, but it can’t dim the continued support of some Defense Logistics Agency locations in its path. Out of all of DLA’s locations worldwide, seven places will see the sun completely obscured by the moon in the eclipse’s path of totality Aug. 21.

Service members observe the 2016 Passover holiday at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. DLA Troop Support provided 223 Seder kits, which contain matzah, a shank bone and other religious items, for Jewish service members who celebrate the eight-day festival of Passover.
