Spring Fling celebrates teamwork in Subsistence

PHILADELPHIA — The Subsistence sensing team hosted their first event of the year with a Spring Fling, offering employees an opportunity to “play hard because we work hard,” said event coordinator, Kelly Parker.

Peter Blazevic, lead supply technician in the Special Commodities Branch of the bulk division at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., has been named Employee of the Week for the week of April 25 to 29.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennyslvania — Peter Blazevic, lead supply technician in the Special Commodities Branch of the bulk division at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., has been named Employee of the Week for the week of April 25 to 29.

April is Sexual Assault and Prevention Month. “Eliminate Sexual Assault: Know Your Part, Do Your Part” is this year’s theme. Defense Logistics Agency Aviation will soon launch its “We Care Aviation” mobile application to provide instant access to information on sexual assault and prevention, as well as suicide prevention. FMWR offers spring and summer events for employees

Spring is in the air and warm weather is coming, even though in Virginia, we sometimes wonder when it will finally get here. Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond’s Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Office is busy planning spring and summer activities. They also have a variety of summer equipment available for employees to rent and discount tickets for amusement parks, movies, and sporting events.

The Subsistence Culture Improvement Team developed a newsletter based on employee feedback from the 2014 Culture Survey. The newsletter is intended to help bridge the communication gap between the Customer and Supplier directorates within the supply chain.

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia celebrated the March Warrior Wednesday with a Spirit of Spring Fun Walk/Run.

Resiliency toolkit explored during Senior Leader Conference

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation senior leaders met on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, March 1 -3, reviewing 2015 successes and missed opportunities and the activity’s way forward for 2016. But the conference wasn’t just about the mission, leaders also focused on building a culture of innovation and resiliency through the sharing of personal testimonies and learning tools to enable them and their employees to adapt to and persevere in the face of personal and professional challenges.

Directorate reflects on actions as agency prepares to launch new culture survey

RICHMOND, Va. — As the Defense Logistics Agency prepares to launch its 2016 Culture Survey in March, Cynthia Stinchcomb reflects back on action plans implemented in her directorate as a result of the 2014 survey.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Air Force Master Sgt. Shanon Johnson is named DLA senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter, 1st Quarter 2016. Johnson earned this recognition in part through her role as an assistant B-1 weapon system program manager, serving an active role on the Air Force Supply Chain Working Group working diligently to ensure mission effectiveness, and for her volunteerism and leadership within the community with children, family, and wounded warriors.
