DSCR honors fallen police officers at center ceremony

Richmond, Va. — Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, employees gathered May 11 for a ceremony honoring fallen law enforcement officers. The ceremony was in conjunction with National Police Week which occurs annually in May

Running for awareness: DSCR supports 80th Training Command’s 5K Run/Walk for Sexual Assault, Awareness Prevention Month

Richmond, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency employees at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, supported the U.S. Army Reserve 80th Training Command’s (The Army School System) fifth annual 5K Run/Walk for Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month on April 28.

Demetrius McCray, a Manchester High School student looks on while Defense Logistics Agency Aviation engineering employees Aaron Vogt (blue shirt) and Kyle Hedrick (plaid shirt) demonstrate how to take a 3-dimensional scan of a red truck with a ROMER Absolute Arm with integrated scanner. 3-D imaging of parts is one method by which DLA Aviation is able to provide parts support for aging aircraft. DLA’s future workforce visits DSCR for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Richmond, Va — More than 200 children visited Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia with their parents or grandparents April 27 as part of the 2017 Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

DLA graduates newest employees from two-year training program

RIchmond, Va. — Surrounded by family, friends and co-workers, 29 DLA Aviation and DLA Finance Pathways to Career Excellence (PaCE) Program graduates joined the ranks of the DLA workforce March 30 in a ceremony held in the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

Former commander returns, gives Air Force customer perspective at SLC

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation leadership and strategic partners came together for the activities annual Senior Leadership Conference Feb. 7-9 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Former DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Mark Johnson who is the current commander of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, returned to Richmond to speak with senior leaders from an Air Force customer perspective.

Aviation senior leaders meet to dial up performance

Richmond, Va. — Senior leaders from across Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s 18 geographical locations within the U.S. traveled to Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, Feb 7-9 to meet with teammates and other DLA, military services and industry leaders to review last year’s performance and discuss how to improve support this year.
