McNamara HQC employees hit links for golf tournament

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — When Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program hosted a golf tournament May 6 at Fort Belvoir’s Woodlawn Golf Course, more than 140 McNamara Headquarters Complex employees from different agencies and their guests jumped at the chance to participate.

Europe distribution center supports movement of fitness containers

GERMERSHEIM, Germany — In conjunction with the United Service Organization-Europe, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Europe moved containers filled with fitness equipment to U.S. soldiers participating in land-training exercises in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — Navy Supply Corps Cdr. Richard Paquette, former commander of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, has been selected for the rank of captain.

Vivian d’Alelio, a management assistant with DLA Headquarters’ Multimedia Division, is lowered down a flight of stairs in a safety chair by McNamara Headquarters Complex employees during a simulated emergency evacuation April 29. The training was designed to help employees with mobility challenges descend stairwells and develop strategies to assist them during an emergency.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Many McNamara Headquarters Complex employees find evacuating the building a routine manner: head for the stairs and walk out an emergency exit. But for some, getting down the stairs and out of the building requires a little bit of teamwork.
