A new playground renovation at the Defense Logistics Agency Child Development Center is scheduled to be complete by spring 2016. In addition to a trike path, new rubber surfacing and storage sections, the CDC’s infant and toddler playground will also receive new play equipment and swings, making the area more age-appropriate.

Changes coming to HQC Fitness Center, DLA Child Development Center

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — From new lockers and showers in the McNamara Headquarters Complex Fitness Center to new playgrounds at the Defense Logistics Agency Child Development Center, the HQC's Morale, Welfare and Recreation office will be upgrading some of its facilities at Fort Belvoir in the coming months.

Defense Supply Center Columbus recently opened a new Lactation Room for nursing mothers' comfort and convenience when visiting or working in the facility. The new room came about after officials saw a need to accommodate more mothers and the mothers had been asking for more time.

DLA Senior Enlisted Leader visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Defense Logistics Agency Senior Enlisted Leader Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin made his inaugural visit to DLA Distribution on Aug. 28 to learn how the organization performs storage and distribution functions for the military services and other key customers.

Anniston’s Adderhold wins Global Distribution Excellence: Safety Civilian of the Year

ANNISTON, Alabama — Barry Adderhold, safety management specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Ala., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Safety Civilian of the Year award for leading the Anniston team to achieving ISO 14001:2004, an Environmental Management System audit.

Susquehanna’s Wright retires from Navy service

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — As an 18-year-old Ohio native, David M. Wright decided to become a nuclear electrician and serve on submarines, standing the watch in the silent service. Nearly 28 years later, on Aug. 27, Navy Supply Corps Lt. Cmdr. Wright stood in front of family and coworkers to be honored for his service and to be recognized by Army Col Corey A. New, the DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., commander.

Army’s 6th Medical Logistics Management Center visit DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To discuss synchronizing medical logistics through planning, supply chain integration, and requirements development, the Army’s 6th Medical Logistics Management Center visited Defense Logistics Agency Distribution on Aug. 28.

DLA Distribution Susquehanna commander makes first visit to Troop Support

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — The commander of nearby Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania made his first visit to DLA Troop Support Aug. 26.
