Busch addresses alma mater; urges interagency partnership, faster response

WASHINGTON, D.C. — DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch returned to the National Defense University March 28, where he discussed the importance of strategic sustainment in today’s dynamic environment and outlined the role support agencies like DLA can provide.

DLA Director visits, praises employees at DLA Disposition Services

Battle Creek, Michigan — Fresh from his March 12-21 tour of the Pacific, Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch traveled to Battle Creek, Michigan, to hear presentations on the DLA Disposition Services Annual Operating Plan and conduct a town hall session with DLA employees.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Command Support Directorate hosted 20 personnel from the 192nd Supply Chain Management Squadron from the Virginia Air National Guard, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, March 16, 2016, at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The purpose of the guard’s visit was to lean about DLA Aviation processes, meeting customer needs, ordering parts, and getting parts to the warfighter on time.

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Command Support Directorate hosted a DLA Aviation mission briefing event, March 16, 2016 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, for 20 personnel from the 192nd Supply Chain Management Squadron, Virginia Air National Guard, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John King hosts his final Town Hall in the Building 20 Auditorium on Defense Supply Center Columbus. The March 23 event recognized several associates for outstanding performance in the previous quarter and served as a kickoff for the 2016 DLA Culture Survey.

Land and Maritime commander conducts final town hall; announces retirement

COLUMBUS, Ohio — In a March 23 town hall event reaffirming DLA Land and Maritime’s commitment to its people and workforce culture, the top ranking service member at the installation announced his upcoming retirement.

International Leadership course visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Foreign military officers enrolled in the Navy Supply Corps School’s International Leadership Executive Advanced Development course visited DLA Distribution March 22 to learn about DLA’s global distribution network and tour the Department of Defense’s largest distribution facility.

Warfighter Support Initiative brings DLA to the customers

The Defense Logistics Agency took to the road, traveling to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in support of the Warfighter Support Initiative, March 22-23. DLA employees from 11 divisions brought face-to-face engagement to the logistics community of Fort Bragg and other military installations, to educate and inform them about how to better use DLA’s services and capabilities.

DSCR takes part in statewide tornado exercise

RICHMOND, Virginia — The peace and serenity of a warm, clear sunny March day on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, was shattered, in an instant, when a tornado warning blared over the installation’s Giant Voice speaker system.
