USMC commandant sees DLA support of Marines during Philly visit

PHILADELPHIA — The Marine Corps’ highest-ranking officer visited DLA Troop Support Nov. 2 to learn more about the organization and how it supports America’s Marines.

Guam distribution center serves as logistics hub for Valiant Shield exercise

MARIANAS, Guam — In the sixth iteration of the biennial field training exercise Valiant Shield, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Guam, Marianas once again became the primary logistics hub for all cargo marked for activities participating in the event, which focused on integrated joint training among U.S. forces.

39th LRS fuels mission

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Incirlik Air For Base website — The Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants shop Airmen were working 12 hour shifts fueling the base and all Operation INHERENT RESOLVE missions before the power outage. When the power went out, the POL shop was tasked with sustaining generators across the base, along with fueling flightline operations.

DLA Energy Commander visits Australia, Pacific commands

AZUMA, Japan — Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin addressed the Australia Fuel Symposium as a guest of the Australian Defense Force Fuel Services Branch Oct. 25.

Before coming to DLA, Carney was a price analyst in the Air Force.
