Bystander Awareness Day event held in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — To improve culture, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Employee Working Group and the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Office hosted Bystander Awareness Day to emphasize the problems that arise when employees experience bullying in the workplace.

DLA Distribution employees were recognized for serving our nation in a uniformed service during a Veterans Recognition ceremony on Nov. 9.

DLA Distribution headquarters recognizes veteran employees

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution headquarters and Army Col. Brad J. Eungard, commander of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., hosted a Veteran’s Day recognition program on Nov. 9, in the auditorium of the brand new Distribution headquarters building.

Troop Support 'Shows Some Love' during week of CFC fundraising

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support employees got into the season of giving by participating in several Combined Federal Campaign events the week of Nov. 14-18.

Agency continues collaborative effort with Navy

Combat Center Marines get schooled on 3D printing

Marine Corps celebrates 241st birthday in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Military members from all services and civilians at DLA Land and Maritime recently gathered in the building 20 auditorium to celebrate the 241st birthday of the United States Marine Corps. The focal point in the Marine’s Birthday celebration is the cake cutting ceremony which symbolizes the connection between Marines past, present and future.

DLA Aviation and Ft. Lee military celebrate Veterans Day with local veterans

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation military members from Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, and students from the Army Logistics University’s Basic Officer Leadership Course and the Army Instructor Training Course from Fort Lee, came together to visit veterans at local facilities in Hopewell on Nov. 9 and Nov. 11. The visit was to honor and remember the former and current veterans for their sacrifices in preserving our freedoms. The group visited and presented certificates to 15 veteran residents at Gentiva Hospice Center’s River View on the Appomattox facility.

DLA delivers Thanksgiving meals to troops overseas

PHILADELPHIA — American troops serving around the world will be able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal, thanks to the Defense Logistics Agency. More than 14,968 pounds of turkey and 8,712 pies, including sweet potato and pumpkin, have been delivered to troops in Afghanistan.
