New crop of Army food trucks to serve up healthy, fast meals for more soldiers

Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support recently purchased six state-of-the-art food trucks for the Army’s Joint Culinary Center of Excellence. The first of these new vehicles rolled through the Troop Support headquarters in Philadelphia while on its way to Fort Drum, New York July 9, where it will be used for training before it goes into service.

USAF begins new Egyptian F110 upgrade program

A big step forward to modernize the Egyptian Air Force F-16 “Fighting Falcon” fleet will take place July 25th in San Antonio, Texas. United States Air Force contracting, through Defense Logistics Agency-Aviation’s Strategic Acquisition Program, has awarded an Egyptian long-term F110 propulsion sustainment contract to GE Aviation. The ceremony will recognize the enterprise collaboration with a focus on Egyptian F-16 mission readiness.

Military Housing Demolition underway at Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna

The world was a much different place when military housing was constructed at the New Cumberland Army Depot in the 1950s. Conserving material goods throughout World War II, most Americans (and military families in particular) were accustomed to smaller houses  built with materials much less efficient than those used in modern construction.
