DLA recognizes fiscal 2026 second quarter award winners

Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Mark Simerly recently announced the recipients of the DLA Employee of the Quarter Awards and DLA Director’s Strategic Goals Awards for the second quarter of fiscal 2026.

Joint Food Management Analytics (JFMA) is a core tenant in the Troop Support Subsistence strategy for developing, deploying and maintaining a data-driven capability to improve supply chain operations for Subsistence, the military uniformed service members, and other key stakeholders as required by DoD Directive 5101.10.

DLA Troop Support launches food management system

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has officially launched Joint Food Management Analytics, a new digital platform to secure, monitor and manage the Subsistence supply chain.

Nearly 100 newer DLA Troop Support employees visited the joint base to observe how the equipment, clothing, and subsistence they procure directly support active global aerial refueling and aeromedical evacuation missions.

DLA Troop Support Academy connects workforce to the warfighter mission

PHILADELPHIA — During the Troop Support Academy held May 19-21, nearly 100 newer employees from around the world stepped away from their desks to bridge the gap between their office tasks and the front lines. The three-day event provided a comprehensive overview of the agency’s four main supply chains and staff offices, highlighted by an immersive field trip to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, where participants saw real-world examples of how the equipment, medical supplies and food they procure directly sustain active-duty service members.

PACE Spotlight: Joana Marie P. Duran

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Joana Marie P. Duran is a current member of Pathways to Career Excellence Group 50, which began in 2025. For her second year in PACE, she will work in the Contracting directorate at DLA Disposition Services’ Battle Creek headquarters.

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR–HICKAM, Hawaii (Feb. 2026) Sailors assigned to the Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG) assist in breaking down a Tactical Operations Center during Exercise Keen Edge, a U.S.–Japan bilateral command post exercise designed to strengthen operational planning, logistics integration and rearm readiness across the Indo-Pacific region. Keen Edge provides realistic “reps and sets” that allow logistics forces to validate sustainment plans, improve coordination with Navy Munitions Command and allied partners, and ensure forward naval forces can rapidly rearm and remain operational in a contested environment. NAVELSG delivers expeditionary logistics capabilities that enable distributed maritime operations worldwide, providing cargo handling, fuel distribution, construction support, and expeditionary rearm to sustain combat power and strengthen fleet readiness across the joint force.
