Employee Working Group holds Warrior Wednesday fun walk/run

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia celebrated the March Warrior Wednesday with a Spirit of Spring Fun Walk/Run.

DLA supervisor shares deployment experience as resiliency lesson

RICHMOND, Virginia — A DLA Aviation supervisor recently shared her experiences from her 2015 deployment to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, where she served for six months as the DLA Support Team deputy commander.

DLA Aviation keeps F/A-18 jets soaring

RICHMOND, Virginia — F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets, flown by Navy and Marine Corps pilots, have patrolled U.S. and international airspace for more than 30 years — and will likely keep flying well into the future, with the help of a special DLA Aviation team.

Resiliency toolkit explored during Senior Leader Conference

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation senior leaders met on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, March 1 -3, reviewing 2015 successes and missed opportunities and the activity’s way forward for 2016. But the conference wasn’t just about the mission, leaders also focused on building a culture of innovation and resiliency through the sharing of personal testimonies and learning tools to enable them and their employees to adapt to and persevere in the face of personal and professional challenges.

DLA Aviation seeks improved legacy support through additive manufacturing

RICHMOND, Virginia — Creating items in three dimensions instead of two is sometimes compared to creating a sculpture instead of a portrait. Even though we live in a 3D world, engineers were limited for many years to 2D drawings/sketches to communicate thoughts and ideas. Today with technological advances in additive manufacturing methods and other technologies, engineers can go directly from a 3D idea to a 3D object.
