DLA Distribution Yokosuka aids USS Fitzgerald after tragedy strikes

YOKOSUKA, Japan — DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, has been working to move critical supplies to support the USS Fitzgerald after a deadly crash that left seven sailors dead and major damage to the destroyer.

DLA Distribution Norfolk, Virginia, commander Navy Supply Corps Capt. Andrew Matthews and former DLA Distribution commander Navy Capt. Harry Thetford met with customers and several junior naval officers during a trip to Naval Submarine Base New London, Connecticut.
