DLA Distribution Bahrain welcomes new commander

MANAMA, Bahrain — Navy Supply Corps Cmdr. Charles M. Tellis, assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Bahrain, Southwest Asia, in a ceremony May 25. The ceremony was officiated by DLA Central Command and Southern Command commander, U.S. Army Col. Derrin W. Williams.

DORRA employees graduate from 14-week Army Logistics University course

Richmond, Va. — Three Defense Logistics Agency Office of Operations Research and Resource Analysis employees recently graduated from a prestigious Army training course.

Elizabeth Najieb, a V-22 weapon system customer account specialist, Marine Division, Customer Operations Directorate, DLA Aviation, during the DLA Aviation Marine Corps’ 105th aviation birthday celebration held May 22, 2017 in the Center Restaurant on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The cake was made by Juan Delvalle, a retired food service Marine instructor from Fort Lee, Virginia’s Marine Corps Detachment Food Service School.

DLA Aviation Marines celebrate birth of Marine Aviation

Richmond, VA — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Marines will now eat cake twice a year in celebration of the Marine Corps Birthday and in recognition of the birth of Marine Aviation May 22, 1912.

Distribution police officers honor National Police Week with ceremony

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — The Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Police Force hosted a wreath laying ceremony to pay tribute to local, state, and Federal peace officers who have died in the line of duty on May 15. Each year, our nation loses between 140-160 law enforcement officers in the line of duty.
