The fair provided information and resources available at DSCC and in the surrounding community for survivors of sexual assault and their advocates.

Emergency response terms explained

Richmond, Va — Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, conducted a tornado response exercise March 19. During the exercise, the installation’s mass notification system disseminated the message that included the words “seek shelter.” Participants’ post-exercise comments indicated confusion with respect to the meaning of “seek shelter,” which is different from “shelter-in-place” or “lockdown.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio — As part of raising awareness for Child Abuse Prevention, Defense Supply Center Columbus associates gathered at Hope Garden in Mission Park to place pinwheels and spread seeds around the garden April 1. April is the designated Child Abuse Prevention Month and blue is the color associated with the cause.
