  • Governing Standards: All data elements are governed by the Accredited Standards Committee X12 (ASC X12) and the policies within DLM 4000.25, Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS). The ASC X12 is the governing source for X12, which is an electronic data interchange (EDI) standard.

  846C REF01 TN Transaction Reference Number A unique number generated by the original submitter of a pre-defined transaction and assigned to any pre-defined information exchange within the department of defense The transaction reference number retains its identity for the life of the generated transaction 1. This is the controlling document number. 2. Use to reference the original FMS requisition number.
  846C REF01 YM Resource Screening Reference Use to identify the new Disposition Services Accumulation Number. Use only with an Accumulation Number Update transaction. The DLA Disposition Services ICP uses to pass the new Disposition Services Accumulation Number to the DLA Disposition Services Field Office. Cite the old Accumulation number in REF04-01/REF04-02. Refer to ADC 1093.
  846C REF04-01 W8 Suffix Use to identify supply transaction partial actions taken on the original document without duplicating or causing loss of identity of the original document number Use with REF01 code TN to identify the document number suffix.
  846C REF04-01 YM Resource Screening Reference Use with REF01 code YM to identify the old Disposition Services Accumulation Number. Use only with an Accumulation Number Update transaction. Cite the new Accumulation number in REF01-02. Refer to ADC 1093.

  846C QTY01 OC Order Count DLA Disposition Services uses to identify the disposition services complete container count. This represents the total number of DTIDs in a specified disposition services container.
  846C QTY01 TO Total 1. Use to identify the total quantity that will be issued for the items sourced to the CV contract. 2. This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.

  846C LQ01 78 Project Code Identifies requisitions and related documentation as to special programs, exercises, projects, operations, or other purposes This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 79 Priority Designator Code A code to communicate the relative importance to the requisitioner's mission based upon its force activity designator (FAD) and urgency of need designator (UND) This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 80 Advice Code Use to transmit instructions considered by the creators of requisitions to be essential to the desired supply action This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 83 Supply Condition Code Classifies materiel in terms of readiness for issue and use or to identify action underway to change the status of materiel This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 84 Management Code This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP (using EBS) is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office (using DS) to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 A1 Ownership Code Provides a means of segmenting inventory balances, accounted for in inventory control records of a Military Service/DLA, but which are owned by others This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 AK Distribution Code This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 DE Signal Code Use to indicate the bill-to and ship-to DoDAAC (Department of Defense Activity Address Code) for an item This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS-Disposal or SL-Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.   846C LQ01 DF Media and Status Code Identifies the desired status recipient(s) and the type of status to be provided This field is only used when the DLA Disposition Services ICP is updating the Disposition Category Code to DS Disposal or SL Sales. This field is required for the DLA Disposition Services Field Office to create an internal MRO transaction.
  846C LQ01 FD Demilitarization Code DRN 0167.
  846C LQ01 DCR Disposition Category Change Reject Reason Code DLA Disposition Services uses to identify the Disposition Category Change Reject Reason Code. Codes to be published by DRMS Instruction (DRMS-I) 4160.14.
  846C LQ01 DCS Disposition Sub-Category Code 1. DLA Disposition Services uses the Disposition Sub-Category Code to indicate how DLA Disposition Services ICP will process a release order based on the sub-category code passed. The two(cid:2)(cid:2)character code is used to identify both Commercial Venture and FMS Freeze related information and is determined by DLA Disposition Services. The code value is conveyed in 2/LQ02/3760, where 2/LQ01/3760 conveys DCS.
  846C LQ01 DCT Disposition Category Code 1. DLA Disposition Services uses the Disposition Category Code to indicate the current method of asset disposition assigned to a Disposal Turn In Document (DTID). Disposition Category Codes are: DS, RJ, RS, RU, and SL. The code value will be conveyed in LQ02, where LQ01 conveys DCT. Explanation for the codes are as follows: DS Disposal RU Reutilization RJ Reject RS Research SL Sales 2. Approved for use in X12 version 6050.
  846C LQ01 DMI Demilitarization Integrity Code Authorized DLMS enhancement for use by DLA Disposition Services.
  846C LQ01 DSI Disposition Services Indicator Code 1. The following Disposition Services Indicator is authorized for use in the Disposition Category Update transaction: CIF. CIF = Disposition Services Container Issued in Full. The indicator will be conveyed in LQ02, where LQ01 conveys DSI. Refer to ADC 412. 2. Approved for use in X12 version 6050.

  846C N103 10 Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DODAAC) Use to identify specific units, activities, and/or organizations. The first position indicates the Component or other Government element of ownership or sponsorship. The remaining five positions are assigned under established products by the Service point of the participating Component
  846C N103 M4 Department of Defense Routing Identifier Code (RIC) Use to serve multiple purposes; supply source codes, inter-system routing codes, intra-system routing codes, and consignor (shipper) codes
  846C N106 TO Message To Use to identify the party to receive the transaction set DLMS Implementaton Convention (IC) 846C Disposition ADC 1367, 1481, MFR 1512 Category Update Must use in conjunction with 2/N101/450 code SB or Z4 to identify that the organization cited in N104 is organization the transaction set is being sent to.
