Information Operations (J6) serves as the DLA knowledge broker, providing comprehensive, best practice technological support to the Department of Defense/DLA Logistics Business Community, resulting in expert-quality information systems, efficient and economical computing, data management, electronic business, and telecommunication services.

Document Services

DLA Document Services is now the Defense Departments primary provider of printing services, office print devices and electronic conversion services per DoDI 5330.03 (PDF). We offer Order, Print and Scanning Services. 

Defense Data Standards

The Defense Enterprise Data Standards Office provides standards for electronic interchange of data across the military services, defense agencies, other federal agencies, foreign military sales customers, and non-government participants

Public reading rooms are located at the HQ DLA facility and at the DLA field activities. Contact the appropriate DLA FOIA/Privacy Contact to make an appointment to gain access to their FOIA reading room.

Research and Development

DLA R&D is dedicated to improving warfighter support by addressing military needs, redefining internal business processes for DLA's global supply chain and addressing industrial base manufacturing issues.

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C 552, is a federal statute that provides a process by which every person may request access to federal agency records.

Privacy Act

The Privacy Act (PA) of 1974, 5 U.S.C.552a, establishes safeguards for the protection of records that the Federal Government (Executive Branch only) collects and maintains on U.S. citizens and aliens lawfully admitted for permanent residence.

Analytics Center of Excellence

The Analytics Center of Excellence offers a wide range of analytical services including operations research, statistical methods, data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence, modeling and simulation, and war game support.
