Active shooter awareness training held at DSCR

Note: This training was held a few days before active shooter situations in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, left 31 people dead and more than 50 injured in less than 24 hours. Nine people killed when a gunman opened fire inside a church in Charleston, South Carolina. Twenty students and six staff members killed after a 20-year old man shot them inside Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. A night of partying at Pulse Night Club in Orlando, Florida, turned tragic on June 12, 2016 when a man walked in and opened fire, killing 49 and injuring close to 60 more.

DSCC talks trash

DSCC Environmental Division is focused on reducing solid waste diversion for the installation. The installation minimizes solid waste generation through source reduction, recycling, reuse or composting. The Environmental Division has made it easy for associates to participate in assist in meeting its goals and help the environment while also providing tips for continued efforts at home.

A Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence team, in partnership with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, New Jersey Innovation Institutes Unmanned Aviation Systems Test Site and a contracted vendor, successfully conducted two unmanned aircraft systems research flights, July 24-25 at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal in Cape May, New Jersey.
