Biomedical equipment tech repairs, replaces vital deployed medical gear

Ryan McGinnis, the sole biomedical equipment technician is charged with the maintenance and calibration of all the equipment doctors and medics rely on. He holds responsibility for everything from lab equipment and refrigerators to life-saving equipment such as defibrillators and infusion pumps.

55th CES office puts pavement first

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Offutt Air Force Base website — With a crew of only 14 civilians, the 55th Civil Engineer Squadron’s pavement and equipment section is responsible for repairs to base roads, parking lots and the runway, while also completing side jobs like demolishing the Capehart pool, responding to emergency water line breaks, fixing the perimeter fence and removing snow in the winter months.
