DLA makes holidays special for local kids in Richmond, Chesterfield County

Defense Logistics Agency employees at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, made the holidays special for 112 local children this year through four local schools’ Angel Tree programs.

A former Navy utility boat arrives in New London, Connecticut, via tractor-trailer Nov. 30. Two surplus boats will be used to ferry passengers between historical sites along the Thames River as part of the new "Thames River Heritage Park" effort there.

Energy commander, French fuel service discuss regional support, experience sharing

FORT LEE, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency Energy commander discussed ongoing and upcoming fuel support and ways to exchange knowledge with his French fuel service counterparts at Fort Lee, Virginia, Dec. 9.

Employees filled the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center Dec. 10 during the annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, kicking off the holiday season with a musical performance by Bensley Elementary School’s 5th Grade Choir and a Holiday Talent Competition.

DLA Distribution hosts local high school students to talk real-world logistics

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On Dec. 10, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution headquarters hosted advanced placement U.S. Government and Politics students from Central York High School to visit a federal workplace and learn about the organization’s world-wide operations.
