The Ch-46 and V-22 Osprey begins there landing during the CH-46 Retirement Ceremony at the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum’s Steven Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia Aug. 1, 2015. Unit conducts valuable training while helping reduce backlog

Jacksonville, Florida — Members of Disposition Services Unit Six of Jacksonville, Florida, used their December drill dates too not only complete the Defense Logistics Agency’s Joint Incremental Duty Training, or “JIDT Block II,” but also to help the local DLA Disposition Services site catch up on demilitarization and avoid shipping items to Alabama for the required work.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Margaret “Meg” Ross, supervisory contract specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution headquarters’ Acquisition Operations, has been awarded the Distribution Employee of the Quarter award for fourth quarter, fiscal year 2015, for her superior performance and teamwork.

Norfolk’s Stubblefield honored as top employee at annual DLA award ceremony

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Kareneshia Stubblefield, distribution process worker at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., was honored as one of the Top 10 Employees of the year at the 48th annual employee recognition ceremony Dec. 10 for her work in the distribution center’s Intermodal Hub.

DLA Energy donates toys to Toys for Tots Program

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Energy employees donated more than 150 toys for the 2015 U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program during the DLA Energy commander’s holiday reception at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Dec. 19.

Energy Americas at Houston banks on commercial practices

HOUSTON — Total conversion from JP8 military specification jet fuel to commercial jet fuel in the continental United States during 2014 drove the adoption of further commercial practices for some fuel terminals.

SIGONELLA, Italy — United States Navy Supply Corps Cmdr. Pamela C. Dozier officially assumed responsibility of DLA Distribution Sigonella, Italy, on Dec. 18 during a ceremony officiated by DLA Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix.
