DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles has been working with Army officials and other stakeholders for more than a year planning the rollout of the new operational camouflage pattern Army combat uniform. Soldiers are authorized to wear the uniform, which became available at select military clothing sales stores July 1.

DLA provides ‘tip of the iceberg’ support for new Army camo pattern

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — The release of the Army combat uniform in the operational camouflage pattern July 1 is just the beginning of Defense Logistics Agency’s camouflage transition support to the Army, a DLA Troop Support leader said.

DLA Distribution celebrates Vietnam War 50th anniversary

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To kick off its participation in a federal, 13-year long commemoration of those that served during the Vietnam War, DLA Distribution hosted veterans Sgt. (Ret.) Joseph Boslet and re-enactor Timothy Meade from the U.S. Army Heritage Center in Carlisle, Pa.

Oklahoma City’s Williamson awarded Global Distribution Excellence: Special Services Civilian Leader of the Year Award

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — George Williamson, a Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Oklahoma City, Okla., employee has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Special Services Civilian Leader of the Year Award for his leadership.

DLA wins 5 DoD Value Engineering Awards

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — One Defense Logistics Agency employee and four teams were awarded Department of Defense Value Engineering Achievement Awards for fiscal 2014 June 25 at a Pentagon ceremony.

Carol Roddy, transportation management specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, Calif., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Senior Civilian of the Year.

San Diego’s Roddy wins Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Senior Civilian Manager of the Year

SAN DIEGO, California — Carol Roddy, transportation management specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, Calif., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Senior Civilian of the Year for her expertise in transportation policy, attention to detail and outstanding customer service.

DLA reserve leaders focus on meeting agency’s needs
