Susquehanna’s Davis awarded Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Army Sgt. 1st Class Bradrick Davis, transportation non-commissioned officer in charge at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., has been awarded the Distribution Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter for fourth quarter, fiscal year 2015 for his performance, outstanding professional skill, knowledge and leadership.

DLA Energy awards Army’s first hybrid renewable energy contract

FORT HOOD, Texas — The Army’s energy needs are getting another boost thanks to a first-ever hybrid solar and wind energy contract with projected savings of at least $168 million in energy costs over the next few decades at Fort Hood.

Joint Petroleum Seminar emphasizes importance of collaboration, logistics

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency Energy and Joint Chiefs of Staff Logistics hosted its 15th annual Joint Petroleum Seminar at the McNamara Headquarters Complex Jan. 11-13.

DLA forging and casting investment continues to provide returns 25 years later

In the early 1990s, Defense Logistics Agency recognized the need to invest in future technology; the agency saw that some once-robust domestic supply chains were disappearing, fragmenting or going overseas. Now, 25-plus years later, the agency’s forging and casting initiative is yielding benefits from knowledge shared by industry, the military services and DLA Aviation.

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond welcomes a new police chief to the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Police Chief Chad Tearne arrived November16, 2015 and brings with him more than 20 years of law enforcement experience.

The DLA Distribution Warner Robins, Ga., Disposition to Distribution, or D2, team has been named Team of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Former employee receives DoD leadership award

ARLINGTON, Virginia — A former Defense Logistics Agency Energy Bulk Fuels Contracting division chief earned the 2015 Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Acquisition and Contracting Legends Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon Jan. 12.

Todd Briggs, who works as an acquisition supervisor in DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Operations, was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame during a ceremony this past November at the Lincoln Theatre in downtown Columbus. He is presented his plaque by Ohio Lt. Governor Mary Taylor (right) and Chip Tansill (left), Ohio Director of Veterans Affairs. Briggs joins his father Morris as the only father-son duo in the hall.
