Surplus DOD tanker truck used to haul ethanol for hand sanitizer for Nebraska emergency workers, schools

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — An excess military tanker truck repurposed by the Nebraska Forest Service for firefighting was recently pressed into service as an ethanol hauler for hand sanitizer being used by emergency managers and public schools.

DLA Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles team provided more than 700 boots to the Army National Guard as of Sept. 17, 2020 in support of mobilized firefighters combating West Coast wildland fires.
