DLA Aviation hosts future agents of change for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

From youngsters and tweens to teens, over 150 sons and daughters of Defense Logistics Agency employees from Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia swarmed the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center April 26 to participate in “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” Hosted by the DLA Aviation Customer Operations Directorate and Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, the event this year ran under the theme “Service Force: Agents of Positive Change.”

A handful of 'diners' were granted access to an exclusive pop-up restaurant of sorts, promising meals, ready to eat, during its only lunch seating at the Defense Logistics Agency headquarters April 4. The concept? Giving those who serve the warfighter an opportunity to lunch and learn, with a taste of the military field rations troops consume.
