Agency welcomes seven new honorees into Hall of Fame

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency inducted seven honorees into its Hall of Fame in a Sept. 20, 2016, ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, attended by current and former senior leaders from throughout the agency and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, as well as the families of the honorees.

DLA Distribution headquarters employees gathered to celebrate the 69th birthday of the United States Air Force and to recognize two of DLA Distributions air force reserve employees on Sept. 16.

Distribution headquarters celebrates Air Force birthday

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution headquarters employees gathered to celebrate the 69th birthday of the U.S. Air Force and to recognize two of DLA Distribution's Air Force Reserve employees Sept. 16.

Paul Zebrowski cited rebuilding the DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles industrial base as the most difficult challenge he faced in his 34 years with the agency.

Who could the Defense Logistics Agency turn to help stand up a new office, modernize the way it does business or stabilize support for an entire supply chain after a scandal? In each case, Paul Zebrowski answered the call and will be recognized for his accomplishments with a place in the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Retired Vice Adm. Al Thompson led DLA Land and Maritime just after 9/11 and took the helm of DLA in 2008.

Director who led DLA support for Iraq surge to join Hall of Fame

Retired Navy Vice Adm. Al Thompson, who led DLA as director at a time when a surge in deployed personnel demanded a surge in critical equipment from DLA — and then led the agency through declining defense budgets — will join the Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Paula Kluczynski developed and managed DLA's New Supervisor Certificate Program, which has helped transform employees into leaders for more than 12 years—earning her a place in the DLA Hall of Fame.

Kent 'Rocky' Galbraith spent 38 years with DLA, beginning as a warehouse worker and ultimately leading the design, development and deployment of the billion-dollar Distribution Standard System, still critical to DLA operations.

Galbraith, force behind critical distribution system, joins DLA Hall of Fame

One of the 2016 inductees into the DLA Hall of Fame, Kent “Rocky” Galbraith, spent 38 years with DLA, beginning as a warehouse worker at Defense Depot Ogden Utah in 1966.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Clara Griffin, customer account specialist in the Customer Operations Directorate in Richmond, Virginia supports the Air Force’s C-5 Galaxy and the C-17 Globemaster aircraft weapon systems. As a retired 1st sergeant, responsible for logistics support to soldiers in the U.S. Army, Griffin is proud to work for the very same organization that served as a major source of supply when she was enlisted.

Employee Spotlight: Clara Griffin

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Clara Griffin is a customer account specialist in the Customer Operations Directorate in Richmond, Virginia. Griffin supports the Air Force’s C-5 Galaxy and the C-17 Globemaster aircraft weapon systems. As a retired Army first sergeant, responsible for logistics support to soldiers, Griffin is proud to work for the very same organization that served as a major source of supply when she was enlisted in the U.S. Army.

In 1984, David Ennis was voted one of 10 Outstanding DLA Personnel; in 2016 he is one of seven inductees into the DLA Hall of Fame.

In 1984, David Ennis was voted one of 10 Outstanding DLA Personnel; in 2016 he is one of seven honorees to join the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Krissie Davis, a civilian DLA employee, volunteered for service in Afghanistan and was killed at age 54 by an enemy rocket in June 2015.

Celia Adolphi, former deputy director of DLA’s Joint Reserve Force, is one of seven new DLA Hall of Fame honorees for 2016.
