Understand 9-11 call processes, procedures helps emergencies

RICHMOND, Virginia — May is 9-1-1 Awareness Month at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond’s Fire and Emergency Services, as well as the alliance of police, emergency management, anti-terrorism, and other DLA public safety resources are reaching out to the DLA community on the installation to ensure employees and the public are ready to access their help during emergencies.

DLA employee team-building project serves community

Employees of the Defense Logistics Agency Disposal Policy and Compliance Division volunteered their time and logistics skills May 10 to help a local Virginia nonprofit — while fostering teamwork among their own group.

Five former Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime associates were inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame May 4 at Defense Supply Center Columbus. Five inductees honored at Land and Maritime Hall of Fame ceremony

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One is remembered as a proponent for supplier excellence and small business innovation. One was recognized for an ability to collect and analyze complex data. RICHMOND, Va. — Air Force Maj. Gen. Warren Berry, vice commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, visited Defense Logistics Agency Aviation May 4 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Navy Cmdr. Eugene Cash, former planning officer in DLA Distribution headquarters office of strategic plans, has been selected for the rank of captain.
