Behavior ethics, rationalization share roles with Hitler, fear in Holocaust

Hitler and fear may be among the first thoughts of those considering who and what was responsible for the Holocaust, but rationalizations made by ordinary people also played a large role, a professor from George Mason University said during a Holocaust Ethical Leadership Symposium at the McNamara Headquarters Complex May 4.

Aviation Leader Commentary: Warfighter First

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency's No. 1 goal is to deliver innovative and responsive solutions to warfighters first. To me, that means ensuring my fellow service members always have the advantage.

Aspiring para trooper is fitted with the parachute assembly used by service members during flight jumps. Several parents and their kids took the opportunity to harness up as part of their orientation about different jobs parents perform on the installation.

DSCC buzzing with activities as kids celebrate Take Your Child to Work Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Under overcast skies the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Take Your Child to Work Day kicked off in the building 20 auditorium for the more than 150 children ages 9-17 and their parents. Activities included safety presentations to raise awareness, physical activities like dodgeball, basketball, jump rope, and a visit to Land and Maritime’s Electronics Testing Lab.

Oklahoma City and Corpus Christi graduate first High Performing Leadership class

Operational contract support planners discuss progress, way ahead

Operational contract support planners from the Defense Logistics Agency, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Staff logistics directorate met April 26-28 in Springfield, Virginia, to share best practices for operational contract support and reinforce the need for a joint-service approach.

The first full week in May has been set aside to honor public servants since 1985.

Clothing & Textiles director retires after 30-year Air Force career

PHILADELPHIA — Serving 30 years in the Air Force is a rare commitment, an Air Force senior leader said during a retirement ceremony April 22 in honor of Col. Patrick Owens, Clothing and Textiles director.

Kyle Kremer and DLA-USTRANCOM staff visited DLA Distribution April 27 for an overview of DLA Distribution, and a tour of the DLA Distribution’s Expeditionary Operations and Foreign Military Sales areas.
